The CBD industry is getting more crowded every day, and it’s getting harder to tell which companies sell high-quality products and which ones are over-pricing and under-delivering. Happily, Blue Moon Hemp falls into the first category.

About Blue Moon Hemp

Blue Moon Hemp’s mission is to create CBD products that will have a positive impact on your overall wellness without having a negative impact on your wallet. The Florida-based company provides a wide range of CBD products. Their lineup ranges from the most common products (like tinctures and vape juice) to concentrates like shatter.

The company sources all of their non-GMO hemp from Kentucky farms that use organic growing practices. They only use CBD isolate for their formulations, so you won’t need to worry about THC content. And all Blue Moon Hemp products are vegan, nut-free, gluten-free, and made without artificial coloring and flavoring.

One thing that makes Blue Moon Hemp stand out in the cannabinoid crowd is that they nano-emulsify their CBD. This means that the CBD particles are much, much smaller than in conventional CBD formulations. How does that help?

The scientific research is still in the very early stages, but there is evidence that those tiny particles of CBD are absorbed much more easily by your body – so you’ll be able to benefit from more of what you use.

Also, nano-emulsified CBD is water soluble, so if you like to combine your CBD with food or beverages, Blue Moon Hemp’s tinctures should mix easily.

Blue Moon Hemp has built a solid customer base by providing CBD designed for high bioavailability at prices that won’t break your bank. There is room for improvement, though.

For one thing, the website seriously needs updating. And while they do provide some third-party lab tests, they don’t make them available for all of their products.

It’s worth noting that when we tested their vape juice for our Best CBD Vape Juice ranking, the results were good, showing even a bit more CBD than labeled. But it’s preferable for customers to see those results before buying.

User Experience

Blue Moon Hemp’s website isn’t the best indicator of their product quality. It looks dated and can be frustrating to use. Important information like lab testing takes a lot of searching to find, and there are several broken links that take you nowhere.

On the other hand, products are reasonably easy to find and the checkout process went without a hitch.

Customer Service

We’ve had a mixed experience of Blue Moon Hemp’s customer service. An email we sent asking for information about a product went unanswered, but then we had a great experience with a customer service rep on the phone. They were knowledgeable and friendly and took time to answer all questions.

Facebook is another way to contact the company, and they responded to our request for info within an hour.

Purchase/Shipping

Blue Moon Hemp offers free shipping for orders over $100, but the company keeps shipping costs low for smaller orders. If your order doesn’t qualify for free shipping, you’ll only have to pay $3.25.

The company doesn’t have a formal return policy spelled out on their website. However, we learned from a customer service rep that if you’re not happy with a product, they’ll send you a return label and process a refund. Just be sure to contact the company before sending back your product.

Transparency

Blue Moon Hemp does provide some third-party lab reports on their website, though they’re kind of hard to find (look under the “Resources” tab at the bottom of the page).

On the other hand, the lab tests are recent and comprehensive. They show CBD potency, as well as test results for a whole range of possible contaminants like pesticides, residual solvents, and mycotoxins.

Our Verdict

Despite a frustrating website, Blue Moon Hemp is creating high-quality CBD products formulated for high bioavailability at moderate prices.
